Worship Wednesday

Today's featured song is, "My Soul Longs For You" by Misty Edwards and the "One Thing" worship team, from IHOP ministries. This song brings me back to 2007ish, but don't worry, it's just as powerful today. I love "One Thing" conferences, especially the music, because many of the songs are spontaneous. PROPHECY IS :

-Speaking God's word with power, revealing all His mysteries and making everything plain as day.

-Prophecy deals with the future; word of knowledge deals with the past and present."

This basic purpose of true prophecy is stated in 1 Corinthians 14:3:

KJV: "He that prophesieth speaketh unto men edification, and exhortation, and comfort."

NIV: But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort.

Amplified Bible: But [on the other hand], the one who prophesies [who interprets the divine will and purpose in inspired preaching and teaching] speaks to men for their upbuilding and constructive spiritual progress and encouragement and consolation"
