Prayer

This morning I came across this and it reminded me of my Prayer Paves Roads blog. Check it out if you haven't. I love how God shares revelation with everyone. It's all about relationship. Build some highways, and pave some roads with your prayers.

PROPHECY IS :

-The true church, just before Jesus returns, will again have the gift of prophecy, because it keeps the law of God by faith in Christ.

-Speaking God's word with power, revealing all His mysteries and making everything plain as day.

-Prophecy deals with the future; word of knowledge deals with the past and present."

-Prophecy is "an inspired message or prediction transmitted orally or in writing."

This basic purpose of true prophecy is stated in 1 Corinthians 14:3:

KJV: "He that prophesieth speaketh unto men edification, and exhortation, and comfort."

NIV: But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort.

Amplified Bible: But [on the other hand], the one who prophesies [who interprets the divine will and purpose in inspired preaching and teaching] speaks to men for their upbuilding and constructive spiritual progress and encouragement and consolation"
